rebuilding a speedy 2 100cc having issues with the ignition, it has a constant live, even with the key out and ignition off. live wire connects to rectifier and cdi unit. nothing in between any suggestions?
Possible the wires are the wrong way round at the ignition barrel multi block end. You should have one live going into the barrel and nothing coming out on any other pins. Turn the key to the start position and then other wires become live.
yeah i tried that first, I'm not sure why it's a constant live, i removed the fuse to cut the feed. bit concerning that it's live even without the ignition turned on.
