Hey, I just done a compression test on my bike because I can't find why it's not starting. First of all with everything attached to the bike I had 110PSI or there abouts. Second time I tried I had around 60PSI. This time I had taken off the water pump to be repaired and the choke is broken. Do you think they could effect the compression value? because on the cylinder head there is a water connection which is obviously detached when the water pump is removed so there is no water in that system. The water pump will not be repaired until tomorrow so it would be nice to know if its my piston/rings or just likely to be the water pump so I can order parts asap! THANKS
i would chuck a new piston on because 60psi is shocking and will not start with 60 psi ....how many miles has the piston done
Check again if it was 110 the first time taking off the water pump would not affect the compression. You might not have had a good seal with the compression tester.
