JUST SAYING HELLO..

JUST PURCHASED MYSELF A PIAGGIO ZIP 70CC FOR A LITTLE PROJECT

I BURNT OUT THE CDI UNIT (SILLY ME) AND THE BIKE NEEDS SOME OVERALL TLC

BEFORE I GET ALL THE CASH TO SORT EVERYTHING OUT I'VE DECIDED TO SPRAY PAINT THE BIKE WHITE AND RED, SHOULD LOOK QUITE APPEALING.. WISH ME LUCK AND FEEL FREE TO SAY HELLO

 

Hello, how did you burn the cdi out, secondly imho never paint a bike or car for that matter before it's mechanicaly sound,only to find out its fuuucked been there .. done that. liam

i think it's because I was running it without a battery and kept on full throttling, it was a standard 50cc but has a 70cc top end

 

That won't burn out the CDI, the charging and ignition systems are completely separate.

 

Oh.. okay.. then I completely do not know why it's not running then.. maybe it was the idle screw in the carb, hmm
