North-West UK here. I had an Aerox a couple years ago but I never did anything to it, had it for 5 years before a car t-boned me, 2 years later I need transport and couldn't be bothered with a car or motorbike so I went for a scooter that looks like a bike, would have liked a 125cc at the least but I got a Gilera DNA 50cc and I have already done a few things to it (exhaust, rollers, springs, belt, kickstand, various other cosmetic changes), if I'm feeling brave later on I might try a 70cc cylinder kit.

This is what she looks like now in the garden, some fairing panels off the rear end:

I've learnt a lot already (basic rudimentary knowledge) of how things are generally supposed to work and it has been fun. Anyway hello.

Edit: While I'm here, does this look right for the RPM(?) on the dash while standing still? Engine sounds good and I can pull the throttle all the way back and get it up to 8 without it feeling like it's 'sputtering out' or whatever the correct terminology for that is, I think it can go further but it feels like it's about to take off like a jet and turn into dust against the garden wall (you can see the scratches on the concrete where it has moved backwards when doing this, despite trying to hold it steady).

    Thanks.
