    Hi guys

I bought a scooter last year from a used dealer. Scooter naturally motd, insured and taxed. The colour, as you can see from the photo, is a metallic blue however the log book states "grey".

Im sure ive heared before that log books can be vague on colours whilst at the same time the scooter is immaculate for its age which could mean its had a respray. I know i used to own a new purple polo yet the log book stated "blue"

My question and concern is....will this affect and invalidate my insurance?? I know insurance very much goes by registration, VIN etc but not sure if colour makes a big difference?

Would'nt think it would make a difference, unless it was a performance related mod, just send book off for a colour change to be safe.

Just checked the VIN number and colour on the chassis and it matches the log book so the colour is correct, not sure how DVLA manage to mistake Blue with Grey!!!

The colour on the logbook is determined by what the person who registered it listed, nothing more technical than that.

You'd have to do something seriously wrong for insurance etc to have issues with it being a slightly different tint (how many shades of white are there these days?!). Changing it is just a case of sending off the log book though
