You need something proper strong to hold the clutch. We tried a couple of bolts through a bar and it mashed the bolts up. So my dad brought home some high tension bolts and made a bigger 'bar' and we managed it. Bit of a slut to get the bolt of really.

best thing to do is make some thing your self which will stop the clutch rotating

this is what i made, pretty simple and all you do is place the too screws in the holes on the front of the clutch then either get someone to hold it while you undo the bolt. or position it so that when you try to undo the screw it will jam into the ground (stopping it rotation)

the pieces of metal i used was some old self supports so they were pretty strong

    hope this helps[/img]

get some bids on that, might be an expensive one-off paymeny but it will save you mashing the variator, crank and clutch up for the sake of not having the right equipment.

i avoid using any locking tools if i can as they put stresses on parts of the engine that shouldn't take that kind of pressure.
