just wondering which clutch springs will go best with my set up. im running a ginanelli race pipe a bigger main jet and 4.5 gram rollers.

the bikes a bit laggy on pull off does this mean i need the green springs?

if youve fitted a sports pipe, you need stronger clutch springs...

The advice youve been given already is sound, buy a pkt of clutch springs
and try a few sets out, until you find the magic set of springs which give
    best pull away ;)

your gonna have to invest in some tools if you want to start tuning your ped,

Bike shops charge a fortune to fit things which are really quite easy to do yourself....also bike shops dont like messing around trying different springs and jets and rollers etc, its unnecessary hassle to them..

what if a shop fits a set of clutch springs and they are not correct, is he gonna dismantle your clutch free of charge to try the next set??? you may try all the sets and then go back to a set you tried earlier as the best compromise!!!

my advice would be buy a cheap electrical impact gun, thats all i use...
mine was about £20 (it does the job)...

also a Haynes manual is a good investment, once you learn to do simple jobs, you can reep some money back by fitting stuff to mates scooters etc ;)

mines a Challenge, ive had it 5 or 6 yrs...still works ok :D

i beleive Argos sell a Clarke impact driver for about £20 as well...

ok im not saying its as good as a pro £90+ impact driver, but its more than good enough to take a variator/clutch/magneto nut off ;)

can get cordless one aswell as a cordless impact screwdriver.. around 60 quid.. buyt ye the cheapo ones will do if your in a tight spot.

best bet is to have an impact wrench of some kind aswell as locking tools.. any specific tool for your bike you should own aswe;ll as a FUL screwdriver set.. FULL socket set (metric) and basic plires/spanners..

if you dont have good tools dont mess with the biike.. simplke things are overly complicated with poor tools and bolts/screws just get mangled,

you can rebuild an engine 100 times without changing a single bolt aslong as you use the right tools and never bodge anything.

so it should be garanteed for life... wich means take it back an they give you a new one.. for the rest of YOUR LIFE.

if its not coverd then some spotty ass bandit halfroads idiot was way too into his job without actually knowing a thing.

there mountain bike team use pro series/snap on grade tools... ether way what the hell do you need a rachet for on a mountain bike nowadays anyway? ive just rebuilt mine fully without a single socket.. just a couple specific spanners and allens.
