ive got some unknown green clutch springs but when im revving its taking ages for the clutch to bite, does anyone know what the standard gilera runner 50 sp clutch spring thickness is or what ones would work best with a aftermarket air filter and leo vince tt exhaust, thanks

what you need to do is find out what rate your springs are via the malosi site maybe or a dealer, they will most likely be mallosi springs. you get 3 strenghs in a pack, they may have fitted the stiffest ones and you may need to buy a new set to go softer.

i wouldnt go with stock springs as acceleration off the line will be horrific you will need a stiffer spring then stock!

revs loads then will move, once its driving its not to bad just want normal/better acceleration

how could i tell with belt? gonna change those just incase, rollers have been weighed on digi's and there 5.5g and found a slit in manifold so gonna replace that, when i buy a 70cc kit im gonna drop engine out clean it all up and make sure everything looks in good working order

the belt should have a minimum width in a haynes manual or something, if its on or under the limit it will perform badly,

the rollers should be round and with no flat spots, if the bike performed ok before and the rollers have been the same weight i wouldnt change them for another weight just make sure they are round

another thing can be the clutch shoes worn, or super shiny so not gripping the inside of the bell. take the bell off and give them a little sand if their not looking to worn and give the bell a light sand to just to remove rust and shiny surfaces

a split in the manifold will cause an airleak so have this changed pronto
