Just fitted my torque drive, but i dont know how to stop the back wheel from moving, breaks not powerful enough, or stop the clutch bell spinning. Its fuking me off so much. Its a gilera runner sp what should it also be torqued to. i used a gun with no torque settings to bring it off.
For those with no proper workshop facilities, this is where a biggish mate can be a real help Sit him on the bike with both brakes on and his weight over the rear of the bike. Then use your torque wrench. Don't have my data book with me at the moment to look at for the Runner (50/125?) Clutch nut torque so someone else will probably supply that later...
tried that and cant even get upto 30nm, plus i tried to bleed the rear breaks and fucked them. You dont understand how fucked off i am. I appriciate your help tweak but if there any other ways.
get a impact gun a cheapy one works i got mine from woolworths £9.99 but they call it a high torque wheel nut remover easyest way to do it
ye i removed the nut with one im trying to get it back on, dont want to use the gun because i dont no how much torque it is putting on it, could put 145nm on and strip it or a pathetic amount and it could come off im fuking kicking shit in right now its really got to me
i cant get noway near 30 infact feels nothing like as tight as the variator nut i could do it with my fuking fingers the wheel would rather spin i just wanana rip the fuking bike apart right know. destroyed my wardrobe instead.. thats not the fuking point olly How do i stop it from moving when i now have no breaks. Worst i dont have any fags and its not like i can ride to the shop
and with this "cheap nut remover impact gun" the torque is set to?! :msn1: got a link available? Oh and please if you're not 110% certain with the brake system leave it alone and get it done by a workshop. It maybe the more expensive option but at the end of the day it's lives your playing with. Mini rant lol
no i dont have the same one as him mine can torque upto 145nm so i dont exactly wanna fuck around with that. Yer ive bleed break before but i cant remember what way around loosening the screw and sqeezing the break is.
easy way, wrap a belt round it, grab both ends close to the bell as you can with plires and hold tight while doing up the nut, the turning force of the bell will tighten the belt against the plires gripping the bell...
kk well i eventually got it done (thanks tweak) But it know just feels as if its revving more but not going faster? also i cant pop the front up no way near as easy as i could before. Revs much more. Should i have changed anything else aswell. Ive got standard contra spring should i have changed it? Still imo shouldnt have made it slower but rev more
