Hello mate thanks for the reply, I took the jets out and cleaned them with a wire. Labeled all the hoses so I think I've put them back in the right place. Carnt be 2 sure tho tbh haha. Waiting on a new spark plug and proper carb cleaner off eBay so when they come il start it again. The scooter is a jonway adventure 125cc.

Just to test that there is a spark coming from cdi stick a screwdriver into the ht lead end (the bit that plugs into spark plug... There will be a metal bit, make sure the screw driver makes contact with the metal bit). While the crew driver making contact with the ht lead hover the screwdriver over a good earth on the bike( a bit of clean metal like the frame engine head... Get someone to kick the bike or electric start while you hold the screw driver. If a spark jumps across from screwdriver to the metal(earth ie. engine head frame) that rules out the ignition side of things apart from if its a broken spark plug

Haha lads this has just made me laugh! Should of explained I have only just bought the bike 3 days ago and it needs brake tyres, and littl bits doing to it. So I haven't been able to road teat it because my front tyre is flat. Got a new 1 in the post yesterday, and waiting on a few more parts in the post to come so will let you know how I get on ;-)

no worry's m8 glad it worked out to be an easy fix . lol i once had to pull my ht cap off on my old gsm 70 when the revs stuk on full blast in the middle of town ona busy weekend. i panicked and grabbed that thinking was quickest option to kill it and i was ryt it did only thing is it sent me flying on off my bike and flat onto my back. i jumped up quick as a flash put the ht cap on tried it fired up fine and i was off like nothing just happend looked like something out of a sketch program . i personaly have never been so embarrased in my life lmao

M.o.t will pass brakes if they come up to standard when tested on the rollers..they may advise a pad change but it should pass.mine were naffed and they still passed.if you are anywhere near Aldridge in Walsall, book a test at Barry heaths..01922455866..he's very forgiving..nice man too.mine had play in the head bearings...passed..he didnt even check the light alignment..said ...they work..passed.sloppy engine bushes...passed

Well the first thing would be check the spark..if youde put any thing else in like diesel it would smoke like a
Bitch so you ain't done that..did that in a mk2 escourt..did smoke nice.if you got a good spark ..strip and clean yer carb.a lot of shit that might be in your tank can get out in to the carb...their not like m/cycle petrol taps..no reserve..that means any shit in yer tank can get in easier than normal.if your running it low and filling it up,the shit can get disturbed and find its way into the carb.if its got an electric choke..check theres voltage on the terminals...if not..trace back till you find a break or a sign of damage..if you ain't got a good spark..change the plug for a new one and if that sorts it whoo hoo.if not then get another coil and try that.if that don't fix it...cdi.
