may be a silly question but can peds get clamped for parking in the wrong place, and whats to stop you from putting it on a trailer and driving off if you do?
Over here they put a lock and chain on the bike. Theres nothing to stop you from moving the bike and as long as you return the lock and chain in perfect working order then they have no case against you. On a slightly related note, this pic was taken by a locksmith friend of mine who was responding to a call to a shopping centre and came out to find they had clamped him (the van has locksmith writen all over it). He spent half an hour picking the lock and when he eventually unlocked it, he stuck it to the "clamping in operation" sign as an up yours to the clampers. lol
similar thing happened with me, a bloke at the garage were i worked got clamped and phoned us up, we came down with some tools and after 10 mins of strugling with a socket set and lever bar the clamp was off and was thrown at the clamper who was stood there gobsmacked the whole time.
Yeah i think thast illegal mate iw uldnt post it on a forum lol if you was allowed to just chop the clamps off nobody would pay the fine theyd chop it off lol andi liek the story of the locksmith that gets a thumbs up from me
