Okay i have seen chrome lipped wheels and i think they look really nice and was wondering how to do it? Thanks
£16 return! Seriously though i've never understood how anyone could do this properly without fucking up the paint/powdercoat. I've always though the best way to do it would be to polish up the lip after it's been shot blasted ready for powder coat then tape off the polished lip and powder coat the rest...
i use a dremmel with a rough sandpaper type attachment carfully taking the paint off dont press to hard or you will score the wheel and it will look crap then 1000 or 1200 grade sand paper with autosol metal polish and alot of elbow grease normally does the trick some people use nitromores to strip the paint but this is pretty risky if you dont want to repaint the whole wheel because whatever it touches it strips (whithin reason)
oh and then once its looking good switch from the sandpaper to a bit of cloth and autosol to buffer it.
another cheap way 2 do it on d rear wheel revv the bike till u get the wheel spinning and den just put sum sandpaper on the lip careful u dnt go too in too much and dnt use coarse sandpaper both sides of da rear wheel can b done but the front wheel wud hav 2 b done a different way but its up 2 u because it could be very dangerous!
