Last week I was hearing a chattering noise come from the CVT area, I ordered some new rollers, the same ones that are in there, and changed the rollers over.

Now I've changed the rollers I still have this noise, I've taken it apart and made sure they're in correctly but I still have this noise...

Anyone know how to sort this?

if the bike has a kickstart, it could be the kickstart quadrant catching on the fins on the variator pulley - Peugeots are notorious for it. If there's no kickstart, then it could be the starter bendix not fully disengaging and catching on the teeth on the edge of the variator pulley.

Either way, you need to remove the cover and investigate. if anything metallic has been catching, then it will be obvious.

I've had the cover off earlier today and there's no obvious damage or anything.

I'm yet to run it without the cover so I can identify the issue

Check the triangular sliders in the cvt back plate, they are prone to rapid wear and could be going thin, and if they disintegrate, like on this bloody v-clic, then your variator interior gets destroyed.

I did look at them earlier, one has got a widening crack in it.

Think that could be the noise?

I'll order them tomorrow, hopefully I won't have any issues.
