hello, my battery doesnt seem to charge up and none of the electrics work when the engine is off or at idle, when the engine speed is slightly higher the alternator charges the electrical components which makes them work. Why will it not charge the battery? ive tried two different batteries with the same outcome

if you can get a multi-tester, note resting voltage of battery, voltage drop when things are turned on, and voltage with engine running............. those three readings will tell you whats going on.
