hi i need a new back tyre for my bike and was just wondering how hard it was to fit them? and also what tools i need to do the job. i know the tyres are tubeless so i dont have to worry about inner tubes.
dont bother changing it yourself unless youv done it before. youll just fuck your wheel up, its not really 'easy' to do
lol i got a new tye a couple of weeks ago and thought this'll be piss easy to fit going on push bike experience got outside found the right socket set size for my wheel nut and couldn't get it off so i took it to a SPECIALIST
best thing to do is take your wheel of and take it to a shop and they change it they and then for u for about a 5er
melksham tyre supplies done mine laurence. they took both wheels off and the exhaust, fitted the tyres and put em bak on 4 a tenner
just go to the same place every time.. wont pay a penny for it if you buy the tyre anyway.. just tell em you can get it that price elsewhere fitted but want to stay local. ive never payd for a tyre to be fitted (well i have but its been me insisting on it even if it is a pint)
I always used to do my own tyres when they had inner tubes, but with tubeless, you have to take them to a tyre place to pump them up, because the garage air lines don't have the oomph to shock the bead on to the rim.
i did my own tubeless tyre with a few screwdrivers and a foot pump  was hard though never again rather pay the few quid for a tyre monkey to do it. then if they mess rim up dont cost you a thing
WTF if they mess the rim up they REPLACE IT... would you be happy with a garage doing work to your car, breaking somthing, not fixing it and still charging? where are all these people telling you tyre shops arnt responcible for there workers. charge for a service and you garantee that service to be as described. tyre fitting means exactly that, not @if we fuck your wheel we will give it back an tell you to fuck off" if i EVER have a single scratch on a wheel they are takin the tyre back off, paying for my powdercoating and putting the tyre back on for free.. or im jus not paying for the tyre. explain this as you action the work and they cant grumble (law says they cant grumble anyway but as we all know tyre/mot/garages seem to think statuatory rights dont apply to them :msn1:
if your gonna do it yourself get some decent motorbike tyre levers or car levers, its easy enuff with decent levers, youll just bend screwdrivers so dont even try it lol i do my tyres at a training place with a tyre machine and levers etc i used to go to, free of charge i paid £15 to have a tyre changed before because it was good friday and i was desperate :wtf: that was literally 10 mins with a tyre lever :msn1: really pissed me off but it was either that or have the bike off the road for 5 days as the old tyre was so bald it had popped and had a big hole in it
ok dec. you didnt buy them from their though? can i buy them and just take it in for them to change it?
when i hade my orange amd black runner they chiped a bit of powder coating of so i didnt even pay for the tyre u coundent even see the chip on the rim at all really just be well moneie and u can get a lot out of them shops trust me
