Changing the Reeds on nrg power 05 plate

Hi have an nrg power 05 plate its got polini 70's kit should i put Polini carbon fibre reeds in? ( it came with the kit)

Yes or you could have trouble at higher revs

 

i fitted the new reeds, well i took her for a run and fuel was coming back out the air filter and very slow top speed, removed them and put the old ones back in.

 

well you done something wrong then as reeds wont cause that

 

the stiffer reeds with give you better throttle response and better performance

 

and also one more thing guys when shes fully warmed when the revs drop below 3,000rpm the engine cuts its self out?? wierd.

 

Have you tried adjusting the idle on the carb?

 

has it got a auto choke because if it has it sounds like it is sticking on
