changing the belt

Is changing the belt on a 4-stroke the same as a 2-stroke? If not how do change the 4-stroke?

basically, yes, its all the same, take old belt off, put new belt on, either by a lot of pulling or by squeezing the rear pulley together and just hooking the belt on.

 

Do i need to do anything to the oil tray on the bottom of the tranny casing?

 

nope, just the belt, its easier to just take the front half of the variator off and then do it
