:hello: My belt is worn, well im surpirsed it hasnt snapped yet lol! anyway i have ordered a nice shiney polini kevlar one, i want to know how to change the belt and will i have to take off the variator?? becuase if i do ill have to buy a locking tool cratch: and also how do i drain the oil out of the gear box?? this also need chaning as the bike hasnt had a service and its done 19800 miles    Thanks guys
get impact gun and that way u can take clutch and vari off without buyin locking tools and yea u gota take clutch and vari off stick the belt around the clutch and pull the pulleys apart with ur fingers while squeezing the belt in thers a vid wich will make this clearer in the guides section gear oil only way i know of is to unscrew dipstick and pour it outa ther but i dno if ther is a better way
Well my mate is rebuilding his speedy100 so where going halfs on a variator locking tool cheers for the advice mate and ill have a look tomorrow cheers anyway :good:
so you and a mate are going halves on a varo locking tool for 2 seperate bikes??? anyway first of all. fuck the polini belt, standards are cheap as chips. get a new set of rollers, variator sliders, oil pump belt, spark plug and air filter, always check the key hole in the cog that the oil pump goes on . if its gets circular replace it the gearbox oil has a drain bolt at the bottom of the crankcase. the varolocking tool for a runner 50 is only a tenner and its much better then a impact gun less likely to fuck it up. if the varo or clutch nut looks past it replace it and use a tiny bit of loctite
Found a nice kevlar one on ebayyy £10 and im getting the varo locking tool myself now and my bank account cant really handle all of them other things ahaa but now i know how to drain the oil im a happy man cheeerrrsss monty your a legend! :yahoo:
