I have got a Yamaha neos 50, i know that jog wheels will fit but i want to put aerox wheels on it along with putting a aerox engine in it, what i want to know, is it a straight swap with the front wheel?

    You have two problems:
You need an adapter for the rear wheel (this can be bought) and then you need to either drill the case & mount a steel plate, or have two lugs welded onto the case for the rear brake.
Making some shims for the front wheel is easy by comparison.

A better solution is to find a pair of the old Aprilia SR50 three spoke or five spoke wheels which are a straight swap - and much nicer looking than the Nitro wheels -

    Here are mine :

Well - the rear wheel is a straight swap anyway.....

id put aerox front forks on it then get a set of aerox 100 wheels as the rear brake is a drum break like the neos and jog should fit straight on

don't need to change the forks. Some shims to get the disc aligned suffice.

yeah its just a easier option if he cant machine the shims or find any sufficient enough to fit plenty of people selling and breaking aeroxs and i should imagine will be a nice upgrade over the neos forks as they are paloi forks and the he can fit the aeroxs front brembo brake as well if the neos doe not have brembos as standard would be a nice upgrade job

I never knew they made aerox wheels with a drum brake. got any pics ?

yes mate the aerox 100 has a rear drum break and there exactly the same size has the aerox 50 other than the rear wheel is made to fit the drum brake and iv got some pics of my old aerox 100 if you want proof its a drum break trust me :)

No proof required. I just wanna see! Pure aesthetic curiosity.

if you look closely to the rear wheel on my old aerox 100 you will see its a drum brake and not a rear disk like on the 50 cc

Amazing. Just when you think you've seen it all. Those would go for a pretty penny in frogland. Everyone with a booster would want a pair. That's a lot of people.

yeah ebay is the best bet to get hold of a set bu make sure you get the ones off of a aerox 100 as the 50cc ones have a spacer and a adapter on the rear wheel to fit the disk brake hub

Exactly. The only kind I have ever seen on the continent. In fact I've never seen an air cooled nitro. Over here you get the odd Ovetto 100 but that's it. This is why I looked long & hard for old SR 50's with the drum hub. And the fact that they look nicer ;).
Thanks for this interesting information !

yeah they are a pretty rare bike but god they are so slow my aerox 50 would out accelerate is and had a better top speed than it so i dont see the point in them to be honest , they have the same 100 cc engine as the ovetto 100 hense why i know the wheels off it will defiantly fit the ovetto / neos / air cooled jogs with drum brake
