either cut them of with stanley knife or if you want to save them squirt wd down the back of the grips to you break the seal and pull off , to re atach just wd the inside of grip it will soon evaporate and leave the grips stuck to your bars

is that all it takes? just wait for the wd-40 to evaporate?

    Oil doesn't evaporate
Put the new grips in a bowl of boiling water, take them out and quickly slip them on, as they cool down they'll contract and stay on.

Wd40 doesn't evaporate, it's a releasing agent, great for getting them off, no so for keeping them on :D

Roll them off, cut them off if theyre past it, screwdriver, football attachment on a bike pump/compressor, good ol water etc etc..

Using WD40 will make your new grips come off as fast as the old ones. Hairspray is the thing you spray under them and dont have to clean off. Youll spend longer cleaning the wd40 off properly (not just wiping) than doing everything else ive said..
