Changed Carb And Drinks Petrol!!

right changed my mikuni 20.5m carb to a deloroto 20.5m carb and a put £3 in the tank... goes after like 18 miles :msn1: so i go back with an empty tank think fuckin hell put £1.50.. the petrol gadge goes up to like half tank.... then after 5 miles light cumes back on and its saying empty.... my mikuni did like 50odd miles for £4.50!! any ideas what it could be?

well its got a 92 with standard filter but the plug seems fine....

 

Is the float bowl on tight and that screw tightened up?

yeh but the plug is light brownish....and dry?? it does seem like it bogs at the start? mabe the needle needs raising/lowering plus a lower jet?

 

there should be a slot for a flat head screwdriver
as for cleaning it use a can off carb cleaner as it sprays at a very high preasure so should clean any blockages. if you have accses to a compressor with a air line then you can just blow it out with a blow gun.

 

My SR had a 90 as standard and with a pipe it just runs a tiny bit rich.

 

some carbs dont have the slot. trust me my old one didnt
