right i want to sort this out once and for all! i keep getting told that i can't ride a ped after my CBT is up, even if i passed my driving test before the 2 years was up. and then i get told that i can ride without CBT, because i've got a car license and that includes it. and then i get told that i can't unless i passed my test before 2001. and then i get told by a mate that it say's on the back of his CBT certificate: this certificate also validates, for the life of the licence, the full moped entitlement granted with a full car licence issued in respect of a practical car test passed on or after 1 febuary 2001 if either; the car test is passed within 2 years of this certificate being issued or the training course was completed after the car test was passed! and i rang up DVLA twice a few weeks back, and they told me i can't, and i can't merge my CBT with my driving license...so my only option is to keep retaking my CBT arc: then on my driving license my categories are....B, B1, f,k,p i researched and found that p= moped..... which means i can ride a moped.... anyone know any real answers? ....im sick of hearing contradicting pieces of information....even from official sources and just want a final answer... can i ride my ped, now that my CBT is over, but i have a full car license which i obtained during the length of my CBT entitlement? cheers for any info!
you need a cbt to drive a scooter but police hardly ask if youve passed your driving test before i think its feb 2001 you drive round without passing a cbt and no loser plates
rite a cbt lasts for 2 years when your liscnece runs out it is obv invalid which means a re take is rquiered OR you can take a full bike test liscence etc .. which means you will be restricted to 33bhp
