I start my ped let it warm up abit then rid to college an at the lights i noticed my carb was dripping fuel. I took the bowl off an made sure flat wasnt stuck. Was fine. Could it be that i have over jetted? Or a dodgy auto choke? Help apriciated
bit of crap in the hole for the needle jet maybe...stops the needle sealing the hole when the float gets to required height
Nah its still doing it lol ill take the bowl off an check the gasket or put instant gasket round it incase its getting through. Pissed me off i wasted a qauter of a tank lol
I wouldn't use instant gasket unless it's fuel resistant which most of it isn't , you risk contaminating the fuel. As above the only real thing that would cause this issue is a dodgy float height or worn needle . Possibly a free flowing fuel tap but the needle should still shut off the fuel flow to the carb bowl. Is the float height even adjustable on your carb?
I dont have a clue mate. Its a 17.5 Dellorto? Ive rescrewed the bowl on an it hasnt done it so far... Might be all the shit roads an speed bumps around here fucking it up lol
i upjeted my carb and was running sweet for about a month now its struggling to reach 30mph what could this be?
