basicly .. i was thinkin due to some scratches on my bike where its bin droped .. only minor ones .. i was thinking of wraping the plastics in carbon decal .. not cheap stuff the proper 3m stuff .. what do u guys think it will look like im after some honist oppinions ... i have a ghost 125 pit bike and the plastics on that are carbon wraped n look sick as
Personally I think carbon effect looks crap. From a distance it looks really crap. Kind of a messed up grey? Just doesn't look right to me.
thanks for ur input terro u rele seem to no what ur on about seeing ur scooter and ur input on other members Q's .. i think i may go with it tho .. shit or bust type of thing .. it will always peel off if i dont like it after a few months .. jus thought it would be different ... also saves opening a new topic wen polishing do u have to lauqer the part that had been polished to prevent rust ..
also i was thinking of the more expesive 3m carbon fibre wrap that looks like this .. unlike the shiney cheap stuff on that scooter
It's all personal preference as to what people think looks good. That wrap does look a lot better though. The picture I showed is the evo carbon fiber kit. Like others they are water transfered. Pretty much every single carbon effect part is done the same way. Looks lovely close up if it's real but even a zonda looks odd from a distance and I always think carbon looks better as accent parts on another colour.
its the up close detail i think looks good .. it will be a marmite scooter i think ... im gunna go with it ..im leaving some of the panels peralesant white .. so it will be some sort of contrasting going on .. i will get some pics up of it when its done some time next week .. also could u answer my Q on polishing ?
Deffo put some pics up when you've done it. Might end up changing my mind. I haven't seen the 3m stuff much. I shouldn't really answer the question on polishing as it's going off topic. It's better if you make a new one.
the 3M stuff does look good (had my lappy wrapped in the stuff last year) but not too sure about it done on a scoot cratch: , seen a bike done in it and looks false on a large area.
my brother had the front pannel of his drag done in 3m , its all down to personal preferance i didnt really like it but he did , the other thing is its like 50 quid a square meter from most places ,but it will defantly be different to have .
i have ordered 3 meters of the stuff the person i have bought it off has done me the 3 for 120 deliverd (which i cant rele arguee about) .. should be here some time this week .. let the wrapping comence
