carb sensor

    Ive noticed some carbs have a what looks like electric sensor on them what does it do and does it make any difference if it isnt connected.

    auto choke, without it you will probably have hard cold starting.

    Hi thanks for reply but its not the choke.It is a bolt with wires coming out of it and it bolts into the side of dellorto carb

    Unless mine as 2 auto chokes it isnt that. I was thinking maybe temp sensor

    It's a heating element to help prevent carb icing.

    Ok ..my old VW beetle suffered with that if the manifold tubes got blocked never seen a bike with it.....So it can be unplugged then.... great
