ive got a speedfight2 50 a/c with a gianelli extra pipe, just blown the piston , rings and barrel to bits so ive ordered an airsal 70 kit i was just wondering if im gonna have to dremmel some inperfections away on the airsal barrel as ive read some posts on here saying that airsal kits are badly made etc and if it will run alright with the standard carb or if i should go for a bigger one ?

    cheers, tom

you will be able to just bolt it on and go for a mild sport tune ;)

how come you blew your piston...too lean mixture, not enough oil, badly fitted kit, or did you just thrape the shit out of it :tdwn:

i think it ran too lean for a bit because my carb came loose and got an air leak but thats sorted now :)

even the t6 can be run on any size carb really.. altho i prefer the 25 over everything on it altho it was a pain to setup. 21mm is about right for easy setup/good fuel econimy. 17.5 will run fine still. if its a cheaper kit (ie an iron or semi race) then respectivly the bigger carbs will be of less use (altho still giving best top once setup) what kit is it? the skirts have some rough edges that need removing really. grab some pics and ill circle any obvious bad spots ;)
