Carb cleaner in air intake

Is there any benefit to spraying carb cleaner directly into the air intake with the air filter off.

 

not really itll make very little distance and just burn off when it gets through to the engine anyway may as well do a proper job of cleaning carb and take it off take it apart and then soak it in carb cleaner just like how its supposed to be used people try to do it the lazy mans way which is what you just described but most find that they have to take the carb off anyway if anything itll just act as easy start does
