Hi, I presently run a neos 50 with 70cc sport cylinder, Metrakit stealth exhaust, and racing reed block, derestricted, other than that all is standard and set up by a professional, my question is that at the mo I am running the standard 12mm gurtner carb with standard airbox(correctly jetted), im looking to upgrade the carb to a 17.5mm aerox one, so can I use the same size equivalent jet size that is in the 12mm? and set the jets accordingly or do I have to go through the trial and error of finding the best/correct jet size?. Any thoughts on this
I changed mine from a 12mm to a 17.5 on my aerox most times the carb is made from different manufacturers. (For example mine was Guntner and my 17.5mm was Dellorto). My jet sizes were on the two carbs so the idle, mixture screw will all need adjusting. I'd say get a few new spark plugs and trying it with the jets, buy a box for about £10 their worth it.
