Oh the fun I have had putting bigger carbs on scoots. You might have to get inventive. A trip to a breaker's yard with a tape measure for some lorry hoses - and then some big screw-collars might be useful. I actually make my own connecting pipes out of fibreglass - to measure - and use short lengths of motorbike shock absorber accordion with collars to make it air tight. Fibreglass superglues very well to airbox plastic. Not a lot of people know that...... Here are some photos which might give you ideas. The rulebook says as long as the cross-sectional area of the connection is 200% greater than the diameter of the carb - you're fine. You will notice that the stock pipe does not obey this rule. This is some pipework which makes a 'standard' Ovetto Airbox the same as another connection for a big Stage 6 filter. All adaptable to pwk carbs - with a nice venturi thanks to the purple moto-shock bits. The main thing is to make it air tight. http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss162/bloodyhell451/prepa/boite2.jpg http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss162/bloodyhell451/prepa/coude.jpg http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss162/bloodyhell451/prepa/cot.jpg http://i572.photobucket.com/albums/ss162/bloodyhell451/prepa/front.jpg
