Hey, as some of you already know, I fitted a Doppler sports airfilter on my ped and now i cant get it to tick over!

At first i thought the spark plug was gunked up with petrol as we spilled quite a bit when changing the jet. But i have replaced the plug and it still wont start up.

Anyone have any ideas as to why it wont start?

Im pretty sure the carb is installed correctly, only thing that is wrong is the idle mix/speed but that shouldnt stop it from ticking over right?

    Thanks, Lukash

that is exactly why it wont tick over.

bare in mind, to run a air filter/pod filter you need to lighten up the rollers and adjust the idle mix, needle height and main jet.

should need around an 85 main jet, leave the needle position for now, idle mix 1 1/2 turns out and lighten the rollers by between 0.5gr-1gr

ive got an 85 jet in and ive lightened my rollers from 5g to 4g (they were too heavy anyway)

My mate loosened the mix screw by accidnt which is why its not right.

Do you mean 1 & 1/2 turns out from when its fully in? (seated against carb)

    Problem solved!

The throttle cable wasnt in right but now thats sorted and it starts up fine.

Still got lots of tuning to do tho!
