    No its a 125 frame?

Im very sure Ive had a complete runner pipe (Downpipe & backbox) on an SR.

Where are you guys saying it hits the mount? Which mount? Have you personally tried or just saying what youve heard? Im sure Im not mistaken?

i havent personally tried but runner pipes do not fit.

am guessing is where the 2 halves of the mount join are quite close to the stub so the sr pipe probs have more of a curve straight from the stub.

well havent you got pm59 on your sr125 ?

When I first built the bike from frame, all I had was a Runner 125 complete pipe and it fitted okay?

When I fitted the LC motor I used a runner pipe (1000% sure as It had heatshield)

Original post is reffering to an original standard pipe.

I have been told that there is a slight gap if using a different downpipe but ive never personally experienced it & im sure the gap is to be fillted with the gasket between the two pipes?

I use Runner pipes all the time as I always have atleast one spare!
If only I could find decent old pictures.

    :wtf:

    EDIT.
    Best I can find

pipe fits.. just not the downpipe i thought... you sure thats not another sr downpipe? the runner pipe is identical ether way just the sr one bows out more.. like i said might be having an off day, but why the hell would they make it in the first place?

I meant that I identified it and recall it being a runner pipe from the heatshield (as they are different) See pic above, early stages with the dented heatshield - comlete runner pipe.

    i see.

but is they did fit why would they make totally different pipes for the sr and everypipe for the runner states they dont fit sr.

so your either confused or we are all missing out on something

the fact aftermarket pipes dont fit is irelevent.. the angle from the stock pipe is totally diff... i wouldrnt even try it myself but if youve done it and it fits then good as its one less hasel.. but im still dubeous

I see the point here but you know how piaggio are strange when it comes to parts - and in this case why is the SR pipe different to TYphoon 125? Why have a different heatshield all together?

As for the every pipe listed not fitting the runner - we are talking about the standard replacement , not aftermarket parts as these tend to have thicker downpipes, or differently shaped, this is a slightly different debate!
Put it this way then, how comes you can get a 59 on a runner but on a typh it needs grinding (apparently ) whereas the standard pipes are simply interchangable??

    :wtf:

But as stated in original post and my previous posts, we're reffering to standard downpipe right?

    ;)

to be honest looks like one of them that only experience will answer your question. so you probs know more than me.

in theory all the pipes should fit each other engines wise as you should know.

think it is all juts down to the way the engine is mounted.

like the sr has the one that gets in the way.

and the typh must just be mounted lower down.

    who knows ?
