Can i use a 25mm carb on a standard 125cc engine

Hi ive just got a 25mm dell carb and malossi E13 filter but still waiting for my malossi 172 kit to arrive,and wondered if i could pop them onto my 125cc for the time being?(not sure if there will be too much mixture going to the cylinder?)Thank

no reason why you cant if you jet it properly/accordingly,
but pointless doing it till the 172 arrives, they'll be no noticeable increase other than your petrol consumption slightly

 

Then you'd have to re-jet anyway for the 172 kit,
