Switch in itself,is quite mechanical,so i'd be easy to remove lever itself...
concerned bout just taping,so i'll superglue plastic strip over an smooth-
main concern then would be ind.light inside clocks/no access.,
read somewhere bout needs to be incapable of use or not present.,

though not sure if any welding may be needed,as have'nt given it a full inspection.mk.

now i've got myself a nice little,quiet evening,living room table,polish + smarten up job,to occupy/self while watching the news,
Be as smooth an shiny as a baby's keister(hubs),when i'm finished,with new bearings/seals/,spindle.nut/shoes+springs-
then neatly packed away for later use if needed.,
Been a fair day. .
