Wow, this thread had been like a see saw! As i've said before, what the BYS lads do is awesome.. i called them months back about some parts for my vespa, and they were really good, told me what i could get, and the prices were all very reasonable. I havent been on this forum long, but i learnt in a small amount of time, that the lads on here are either very technical, or they're learning very quick, so theyre all interested in every little detail... So you cant blame them, or me for asking loads of random questions... Keep the projects coming BYS - you'll only grow in popularity.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?I WANT TO MAKE SOME CUTS IN MY PANELS,JUST LIKE THAT GUY BYS BROTHER DID ON THE FIRST PAGE.WHAT CAN I USE TO CUT THOSE AEROX LETTERS LIKE HE DID??? I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO USE TO CUT THEM IN THAT PLASTIC PANNEL TO MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD,LIKE THOSE IN THE PICTURES ABOVE.PLEASE SO MUCH?COULD YOU GUYS HELP ME?I AM NEW HERE AND DON'T KNOW MUCH ABOUTH SCOOTERS...SORRY FOR ANY GRAMMAR MISTAKES,ENGLISH IN NOT MY NATIVE LANGUAGE.CHEERS FROM ROMANIA!WISH YOU ALL THE GOOD!
A mixture of a drill, saw and files. Could use a dremel too but it's easy to over cut. Mark out the basic outline and then remove the majority of material with a dremmel or simmlar...could use a pad saw with hacksaw blade in it..use a drill for a pilot hole to get the blade started. Finish edges by using fine metal files and eventually fine sand paper to remove the edges. Sharp scalpels are good for getting into the tight corners. If you need to cut down mudguards etc and need a straight line to finish, a block plane used for wood is ideal, and a spoke shave great for cleaning up curves
