hello sorry another question, want to buy a bike with no log book, it was an impound yards bikes from when they took it and the guy didnt get it back, whos name will the log book be in? or will have have no owner atm? everything checks out fine with the bike? just it it easy to apply for a log book? thanks
I bought a RG125 from a bloke that buys wrecks from the Police pound. He checked the HPI whilst I was there and then wrote out a receipt for what I'd paid on the companys letterhead. i was reassured that the V5 could be got from DVLA...it arrived 2 weeks after sending off the necessary from the post office rule of thumb....do your homework, check out the seller, HPI it...cant do no more if the log book aint present
thank you stig btw you live near me im from mansifled as well mabe go for a ride, where can i go for a cheap hpi check? like ive herd of these £4 txt things? thanks
id be verry skeptical of ANY breaker who will sell an entire bike to any guy on the street.. its illegal to buy entire vehicles wihtout a breakers/salvage/scrap licence. fact is if its stolen recoverd and its been written off (hence the police never returned the bike to its rightfull owner as theyd been paid by insurance) you will NEVER be able to road register the vehicle. it no longer exists
