my mate picked up a aprilia habana 50 the other day, cut a long story short engine is now f**ked and siezed up. now for obvious reasons he wants to see the back of it. Should i buy it and tune the nuts off it reliving my days as a 16 year old waking the neighbors up with a screaming two stroke at 5 am or would it just be a waste of money
Maybe if you have a good look at it,whilst he's there....an point out & explain to him in detail, the associated costs involved in fixing an otr'ing the 'ped- he may realise the futility of trying to sell it on,buyer clocking cost, etc. + throw a few indecisions into the conversation,he might just 'give' it away..
i know what it needs doing already, as i stripped it down looking for the fault. bore is seized oil pump shagged but crank is good (had it out and had micrometer on it). i just miss that smell of a 2 stroke
,so knowing that last bit......He probaly has a figure in mind,to re-coop costs- dependant how good a mate he is..,,have a beer an a sit down an come to a mutually beneficial conclusion,maybe..
he is the kind of guy that when something breaks he either burns it or walks away so i know what its going to be lol. im geting fed up of driving 200kg of piaggio to work everyday i just fancy something a bit lighter to chuck about
Did you have it???????? They look like a fun little scoot to ride, have been thinking about trying to get one, knackered of course, so i can play with it.
