i bought 2 new tyres for my katana but i cant seem to be able to break the bead of the old 1s i have tyre levers but i jst cant get the seal to break anyone know how to do it ?
Please don't hold me responsible for anything, but i've quite often done it (very carefully) with my car, hanging out the window to get a good view and make sure u don't hit the wheel! Failing that buy a motocross bead breker they're quite cheap, and swhould be fine with scoot tyres!
Get some of those car sized tyre levers and just give it a whack with a hide mallet, just watch you don't fuck you rims, a bit of fairy liquid/tyre soap round the lip of the rim usually helps..
i lowered a hydraulic car ramp on mine, u know the ones they use when fitting exhaust and stuff that go up to the ceiling :w00t:
tread on it with the valve removed arc: problem is getting the tyre on and off... dont attempt it without trye irons as you WILL kil the wheel
erm take it to a shop??? at my work we only charge £10 a wheel and are machinery cost over 10K.
i used to work changing in a garage we useed to change tyres free... i think most places are arnt they? lol if bot shudnt only b bout a fiver worth doin mate alot easyer
io got a human tire machine, mates dads mates huge over 20 stone and the best thing for breaking the bead,
thanks for the replys i used a vice and some tyre irons now my wheels are redy so i can paint them and put on the new tyres thanks again
