I'm hoping someone can help me with this.

I have a Piaggio Zip 50 cc moped and I was driving to work today and pulled back a little too hard on the throttle. The handle suddenly snapped back and I lost all speed and the engine went idle. Luckily I was able to pull over and get myself and my bike back home.

The throttle handle is now spinning loosely and the engine will no longer start.

What I want to know is what did I do? And what do I need to replace? Or is it a garage job?

    Thank you!

Sounds like you’ve just snapped the throttle cable it’s no worry

Pedparts.co.uk have everything you need to sort it, it’s not difficult as long as you have a small amount of mechanical know how
