Has anyone got breakdown cover on the scooter, if so are there any you would recommend or steer clear of? All i want basically is, if i breakdown, to get the bike home.

Well on my insurance i pay £5 monthly on top of the insurance and i can get someone to come to the place where the bike broke down they will try and fix it if still not working they will bring the moped to the garage and give me a lift to where i was going.

Ring your insurance and ask there breakdown cover

My dad rang the AA about it and they said they dont pick up bikes smaller than 50cc

then my insurance rang me trying to sell it me, and they said i could only use it like 6 times a year so i told em to stuff it

You can get unlimited aa cover for any car/bike you're in for like £40 a year I think

i was with the rac and they were useless, im a mechanic and have been for many years. my bike broke down at like 3am. i rang them up, and said i want it recovered and i will fix it myself, so the sent a stupid fitter guy out who asked me if i had enough 2 stroke opil in it (vx125) then said he didnt have a clue what he was doing. so i waited another hour in the rain in the middle of nowhere for a recovery truck. it happened on more than one occasion

I.m in the AA amd they're fairly good. if you relay enough info to the operator they try to make sure the fitter they send has a bit of bike knowledge or they send a AA biker. They'll at least get you home if you have the recovery option. Mine turned out to be a dead cell in the battery and wasnt producing enpough ampage to make it fire up
