Right so me and a good mate put my new polini sport 70 kit on, i've read up topics and it matches up well with my exhaust - doppler s3r.

bought new spark plug BR9ES long reach plug for the kit as stated. all went well, fitted nicely no issues at all upon start up. kicked up 1st time put there was little to no throttle response at all. before fitting the 70 i had a k&n filter on with a 92 main jet in and was running sweet. however i left those in place upon starting it, all i wanted to do was get it running then mess about with jets etc, i WILL run it on the standard airbox btw.

the problem i though to be just a jetting issue turned out to be alot more, no matter what jet i put in, messed with screw, cleaned carb, changed reeds all sorts.. all it did was splutter, full throttle, half throttle, would hardly idle. but it appeared to me that this was a more serious issue as no matter what i did it was always the same. i checked the plug regularily but was just wet with fuel, didn't even look like it had run. but i checked if the plug was sparking and there was a good spark. problem persisted throughout the day whatever i did so at half 11 last night we put my old barrel back on. i thought doing this would sort it out and just put it back to normal... nope, exact same problem even with the 50 bore back on and same setup as before.

it's gone out of my depth as to whats wrong, could be something simple or something not so simple!

anyone seen or experienced this before, kind of need it fixed soon as possible, it's barely rideable however i managed so soldier it home, spluttering all the way, when i hit 40 on the speedo it'd just be like turning the key off.

    any help is really appreciated,
ask any questions if need be to find out whats wrong if theres anything i havent said,

    cheers,
    chris.

i had this problem with my old aerox, i fitted the new kit and carb and it just didnt work, it was over revving as soon as i turned it on and so many problems, you have to tune the carb for couple of hours to just get it right, and the throttle cable going into the carb, tighten or loosen that, and it should be alright.

cheers mate, i'll give it a go today, taking it up my mates later on, got a bit more knowledge than me you see, it is a real ball ache! but i cant pin point it on what your saying.. i mean it could be but why should it do it with the 50 back on? :/

    could it be wiring.. electrics..?

    cheers,
    chris

thats exactly what i thought, i was on the edge of taking it to a garage, went out there for 1 more look at it, an itss because youve tried tuning it with the 70s on it, and when you put the 50s back on, its not tuned correctly, just keep trying with the screws on the carb, and the throttle cable, thats what mine was, but alternatively it could be the electrics or wiring, im just trying to give a suggestion :)

no i appreciate it alot mate!
i mean, i might have to check the carb over again because i thinkk it's the pilot jet that fell out once when i took the main jet out, this.. like.. gold pipe thing. and another time the air mixture screw actually fell out. its just frustrating, was at it for at least 6 hours yesterday! im just thinking i put everything back to how it was when i put the 50 on.. and it did the same! :(

Why would you put a worse pipe on it :/?? Have fun when it snaps lol. Are you running a 13ml carb or 17.5 ? I'd strongly recomend upgrading to a 21 or 17.5 if so.

I know they're not as good but whey i like the sound and the looks. Just waiting for it to fall apart now haha  standard carb mate, carbon reeds and just done the needle with a 72 main jet in it. I am looking for a bigger carb and do intend on getting one. having problems after having a new belt now anyway just feels shit slow and sluggish
