How do i fully derestrict it....

I have clamped the pipe on the exhaust but it is still only going about 35mph!!

I hear its something to do with the sprokets on the chain?! At the moment the little (driver?) sproket has 10 teeth... i hear it should be like 13 or summit?

    Any help would be great

    Thanks

go and buy a 13 and a 14 tooth sprocket, the 13 should give around 50-55mph and accelerate well and the 14 should give around 60 but you will have to work the bike a bit more to get it there.

can i get it from a shop or only from the internet cos is it a performance part or just a replacement part?

and is this the only thing that needs derestricting or is there sumit else aswel?

    Thanks

i'm not entirely sure but i beleive there is a cdi, exhaust and gearing restriction on the RS, you will need to upjet too if there is an exhaust restrictor.

If your going to replace the sprocket do it sooner rather than later because once you put wear on the chain/sprockets, they should all be changed together really. Shouldn't change just a sprocket or just a chain.

You say you have clamped the exhaust blank pipe. I think its better if you cut it clean off and weld it up. That was NO pressure is being lost in a poorly clamped pipe.

Other than sprockets, Id of thought that later mopeds are restricted electrically these days?

Correct me if im wrong though.

judging by the rs50 chains i've seen, they rust through before they wear because of lack of maintainance. you may need 2 or 4 exra links to accomodate the extra sprocket size too.

should i nt make 1 sproket bigger n the other smaller so the chain fits or nt?

will it be easy to do the chain links?

    cheers
