Ok guys, im just wondering if i have ruined my front brake. because i took the front wheel off earlier and painted the rim. and i put it back on. but while i was taking it off i must have pulled the front break lever, and the pads had locked together. so i pryed them open. and put the wheel back on. but when i pull the lever, nothing happens? do they just need bleeding? if so, how do i do that? thanks. :banghead:

youll probably find youll need to pump the lever a few times and it'll be ok...

Ok thanks. a few meaning like lot? because i pumped it like 5 or 6 times and it was still the same. whereas on my mountain bike, which also has hydraulic disk brakes i used to pump it like 3 or 4 times and it was fine. but do i have to pump it more times on a scooter cuz the resovior is bigger?

    You got it :)

If not your need to bleed your brakes. Simple procedure, alot easier with two people, unless you have a brake bleeding kit :yahoo:

3 times on most bikes usually works, did u check the pisons to see if they were ok? if it was working before then just wont work now then try taking them both out and check for scraps etc might even be siezed, but take them out and dose them in break fluid or somthing, if that dont work u need to just re bleed them, if u dont know how to do it just get some1 else to do it for u as u seem to keep making topics on how to bleed them

firstly remove the resovoir cap and pump slowly it will not draw air in the fluid!!! as the cap provides a air tight seal it can not reliev the vacum it creates when the fluid drops down in leval hence the fluid not gettin to the caliper.. i had the same problem on my ROX or worse news scenario the master cylinder seals have gone, if it needed bleeding there would be a tiny spoungyness atleast to the feal
