Just bought my 1st flip-up lid.
always thought they were just for couriers, but fack ive changed me mind

Ride round with the front up and you can hardly tell you've got it on,
the visability is unreal. then click it down and enter full race mode :punk:

its also easier doing everyday shit like putting cash/keys in your pockets and paying for petrol.

heres the one i bought.. bargin:

If it wernt for the fact there blatantly shit in comparison to a full face in the event of a crash, id proberly have one for the ease of use.....they do look a bit weird aswell though. I should try one really.

The one i bought has a 4star sharp safety rating (must be with
    the front down though)

I've got a Caberg flip up, and it's really comfortable and handy for paying at petrol stations, but I do find the wind noise really loud above 60, probably because of all the nooks and crannies associated with the hinge.

I have a caberg flip too. I love look of cabergs n it has internal flip visor - summertime I used to love riding with front up but internal tinted visor down.

Theyre slightly bulkier than std lids though.

On my GTS 250, or my Formula 3 racer. and I don't ride with it flipped up, that would just be silly. It's just nice to open it to talk to people without having to take it off.

I lied about the Formula 3 racer. :w00t:

they are good in comparison to conventional lids, but like a few people have said, they're not so good when you bin it an you kiss the tarmac at 40-50mph and end up skating down the road on your face lol
ive forgotten his name but im pretty sure the lad with the white 172 with the orange wheels came off with a boxer flip up on, there wwas some nasty pics put up not long ago of his face :wtf:
