Hi i'm going to start with a bit of background i'm running a Adly Scooter with what i think is a Minarelli Horizontal 50cc air colled engine top end it gets around 38mph or so on a flat road Problem is when i have to stop at a road junction or starting on a hill it is unable to pull. with the throttle fully open it doesnt move. i have the push off with my feet to get it started. it is progessively getting worse and its not safe to be goin across a road junction waiting for it to kick in. once it gets above 10mph the accelaration is good but getting therte from a standstill is hard. Any tips for low end drivablity without to much damage to top speed would be appricated
first thing i'd do is a compression test, just to rule out bore/ring wear. That out of the way i'd whip your rollers out and see if they have worn flat, this can cause "laggy" takeoff due to the variator sticking in a higher gear position (if that makes sense). if the bike is struggling to rev off the junction then the problem will more than likely be ring wear unless you have changed anything on the bike.failing that it could be you have a clutch spring broken or weakened. my advice would be check all your transmission if a compression test comes up fine.
