Boring out the exhaust pipe header ?

It might be dumb question but could you possibly make a bit more power when you would bore out the exhaust port and also the exhaust pipe header and use a bigger carb ? Could you flow more air and fuel through your engine (2 stroke) ?

That's exactly what porting is.
Top tip from me. Start by just polishing your exhaust port and the top of the piston. Should gain a bit more power.

 

But what about the exhaust pipe itself ?

 

You probably don't have much to go on. Better of buying tubing with a larger ID.

 

but would the larger id theoretically increase power ? also does the cylinder exhaust port id have to match the exhaust pipe header id ?
