the best way to think about this kind of stuff is this: if the engine spins faster, you will have a higher top speed, if it can spin to its highest rpm at a faster rate, you will have a faster acceleration. a big bore kit wont exactly give you more speed, but it will give you more power. i do a bit of 4 stroke tuning...... a lighter piston with less skirt will give you a great acceleration, but the engine will last a lot shorter time.... there is a three way rule thing with tuning: if you want fast it wont be cheap or relaiable if you want relaible it wont be fast but might be cheap if you want cheap it wont be fast or reliable.....
