    Hi Guys,

I have wondered ever since I got my moped what the bolt is for that is on the short section of pipe from the engine to the silencer? I took it out today and love the difference in sound. The bike sounds like a 250 not a 50 moped. I understand 2 strokes need a lot of back pressure. I am unsure whats the situations with 4 strokes like mine are though? Will it do any harm to leave it out and improve the exhaust noise? What differences will it make the bike, performance wise? Fuel economy?

    Any advice is appreciated :)

    Cheers,

    Matt

It'll burn out you exhaust valve too, just leave it in. Its only there from when the bike had a recirculation system

When i had mine i found the best exhaust for persormance and sound was actually the standard one with the first baffle drilled out. Those performance ones are shit because you need some back pressure with such a small engine

Easiest way it to drill down into the hole in the end of your exhaust. with mine i opened it up, cut it out and welded it back together

When you say the end of the exhaust.. Do you mean the end on the silencer? I can't see nothing in there.. LOL
