hello all so im rideing back from ace cafe normally and i go to pull of about half throttle bike bogs i go again. i pulled over and the thing was idleing like a menace really fast so i thought bollox air leak. i come home find a air leak on the seal of reeds fix that. still doing it :cray: ive felt for air with my hands listened looked i cant find any other air leak what on earth could this be ??? all help appreciated cheers steve p.s the reeds are fine checked them eile i was there
hole in the inlet... shit reedblock not sealing correctly.. oil seals, base gasget cooked, tear in the vac/pump pipe... missing vac/pump pipe. spray around everywhere (EXCEPT the air filter) with wd40 as the bike is running... it WILL ether raise or drop the revs as you spray close to where its leaking from. could also be a blocked idle jet... well, partially, making the mix lean/raising the revs... check for stupid things like stuck throttle cable, slide jamming and so on
fixed it bike had a inline filter was clogged up and a tiny tiny fuel split in fuel line that would only leak when u pulled the pipe down i also cleaned the carb wile i was there steve :good:
loose the inlione filter... there allways more trouble than there worht. plus theres one in the fuel tank (part of the fuel tap) so absoloutly no need for it to be there
