ps3 is a good spec blu-ray player tbh, the equipment you are using with it will make all the difference.

What you want is a cable from your computer to your TV. I get both blueray and hd dvd films for a lot less than you can in the shops and i don't have to shell out for a player. ;) ;)

well it will be a 32inch hd tv so does the ps3 play dvds straight out of the box? and minor how can they make blueray better? like its already blue ray so shoudnt it be the best quality it can be right now?

Blu-ray is not that much better IMO! PS3 can upscale normal DVDs too, but not to blu-ray quality.

Get a JAP PS3 tho, got mine for £240 delivered!

blue ray disks are super high rez.. players are only 1024 pixel atm... need the new range to come out as there again was a format toss up like with the whole dvd, dvd- and dvd= situation 5 years ago... fact is the player looks at the disk an displays a quality... not feeds the actual quality/pixel
