blue discoloration on crank gilera 172. isit a problem?

    i wonder if anyone can help i have taken my cylinder off and noticed that the there is blue heat discoloration on the crank on the opposite side of the conrod journal on both sides i havent split my engine yet so dont know if my bearings are the same as i wanted to get advice on weather this is a problem as ive never seen this before please help! and if it is a problem what could be causing it? thanks

    Im not too sure but could just be due to the heat what crank isit?

    im not to sure ive just bought the bike and the boy i bought it from didnt know anything about bikes and it had all the work done onit when he bought it how can i tell if its a arfter market crank? there are no markings on the conrod suggesting a make

    Ive not a clue mate best bet for the right answer for that question is probably to ask minor or terr0

    You really shouldn't be advising someone to pm an admin with a question. That's a pretty quick way to find yourself banned.

    It's easy to put pictures up just click post reply then at the bottom there is a tab called add images.

    the image is 2 big wont let me upload them ordered a new crank from psn today anyway
